Charles Coathup is passionate about improving and advancing Stormwater Asset Management. Within his career he has undertaken many types of auditing, modelling and condition assessment activities on stormwater quality improvement devices (SQIDs) and WSUD systems. Charles believes that through the constant monitoring and analysis of asset data, captured during asset management activities, we can understand these assets better and therefore make more proactive and adaptive asset management decisions. This will ensure asset longevity, performance and compliance to improve our waterways.
Co-Founding Renew Solutions in 2010, has helped Charles to continue to provide a range of Asset Management services to both Public and Private clients in various sectors. This includes the design, construction/installation of new devices, and the inspection, cleaning and maintenance/rectification of existing devices.
Collectively, Charles has over 17 years’ experience in the stormwater management space, including 10 years as Managing Director of Renew Solutions and 7 years as the International Business Development Manager for an internationally recognised stormwater product and services proprietor.
Stormwater management has taken Charles across the world, including a number of years within New Zealand and SE Asia, where he managed the supply, installation and management of various devices and systems for different public and private projects.
Charles has also continued an active role within Stormwater Queensland for the last 10 years, where he is the currently Treasurer of the association.
