SpilMax Oil & Fuel Absorbent Mini Booms will contain and absorb a wide variety of oils and fuels including plant and seed oils, hydrocarbons, petrochemicals and petroleum-based solvents.
SpilMax Oil & Fuel Absorbent Mini Booms are made of polypropylene and available in a variety of sizes. Mini booms are typically used to encircle, or bund leaking drums and machinery. Mini booms can be placed between a spill and a stormwater drain. They are ideal to use where hydrocarbons are the main and likely contaminant such as around workshops, hydraulic hoses, fuel stores and marinas.
Oil & Fuel Absorbent Mini Booms are hydrophobic. This means they will repel water. They absorb oil and fuel without absorbing water. Use these mini booms around water and in wet conditions. Even when fully saturated, they will still float on water.
SpilMax Absorbent Mini Booms are printed with information to remind the user what they will absorb.
The SpilMax range of absorbents have undergone extensive testing to ensure their absorbency and performance.
